As you all know, here at Casa Botelho we love to mix things up a little … whether it’s contrasting textures, seductive tones or unexpected shapes. But our favourite combination is the effortless beauty created when the old meets the new. |
Casa Botelho’s latest collaboration is one that takes this heavenly match to a whole new level! In Petworth, West Sussex, a fellow luxury and bespoke furniture company (and dear friends), Augustus Brandt have a showroom that is housed in a very unique space – a 7,500 square foot Georgian townhouse. With its sash windows, ornate detailing and historic charm, the space creates a luxuriously warm and familiar environment where customers can enjoy and experience the furniture in a ‘real-life’ setting. Rather than just a showroom, Augustus Brandt has cleverly created a retail destination that we are now so proud to be a part of!
That’s right, Casa Botelho now has another store that you can visit to see, touch and experience our entire range of bespoke furniture and home accessories. Allowing our Art Deco aesthetic to truly shine, I have specifically designed the Casa Botelho room to celebrate this ‘old-meets-new’ philosophy and create a luxurious space that doesn’t compromise on character or individuality. |
In order to create an oasis for the senses, I have used an exclusive combination of the brands signature pieces, including the Martini tables, Cupid Chaise Lounge, Bacco Armchair, Bacco Side Table, Eros Console and Coffee Table, Vulcano Lantern, as well as many more. And to complement these designs, I have also introduced two artworks from the exceptionally talented, Italian-born photographer, Thomas Zanon-Larcher. The two pieces that I selected are from Zanon-Larcher’s narrative series, Nora, which is based on the Norwegian play, ‘A Doll’s House’ by Henrik Ibsen. These pieces not only reflect he dramatic tones and mood of our Casa Botelho designs but they also add another layer of history to the space, resulting in a unique visual display of time. |
You can visit the Augustus Brandt store at Newlands House, Pound Street, Petworth, West Sussex GU28 0DX where our entire collection can be seen, touched and purchased. If you’d like to know more about Augustus Brandt, visit www.augustusbrandt.co.uk.
Until next time … stay timeless.
